Group Mtn Bike Ride & Volunteers Needed

We will have a group mountain bike ride on Sunday at 12:00pm at Tsali.  Route will be decided when we get there but left and right loop are open.

On Feb 21, the 28th Annual Cycle World International Motorcycle Show is taking place in Greenville, SC.  Strider Bicycles is looking for 2 volunteers to help kids riding some of the Strider Bicycles.  The Strider Bicycle is a kick-bike.  NO pedals on the bike.  It helps to introduce kids to cycling and motorcycling at a young age.  As a volunteer you will be able to get into the show free and be able to check out all the expos.  http://www.motorcycleshows.com/South+Carolina+Features

I've attached a link showing Malcolm riding Strider Kick Bike.  He's 21 months old and also riding a motorcycle.  If you are interested in volunteering, please contact me and I will get you in touch with Steve Smith who is Strider rep looking for volunteers.

Group Mtn Bike Ride

Hope everyone had a nice holiday and is enjoying 2009!  We will have a group mountain bike ride on Sunday at 11am at Coweeta Lab.  We will do approximately 12-14 miles or so.

Scott Baste will be resuming the Thursday night rides at the Macon County Library at 5:30 pm in the back of the parking lot.  Bring lights or call him if you need to borrow.  This is a nice place to ride and is accessible to riders of all skill levels and abilities.  Ride length is very optional.  We typically ride around 8 miles or so I think but you can cut off pretty much anywhere.  The solstice is now past us so the days are getting longer again!!! Scott Baste 371-2625.

There is also a road ride on Sunday at Franklin Fitness Center at 1pm.

Finally, I've attached a flyer of a benefit ride that the BRBC (Blue Ridge Bicycle Club) is hosting for Dru Aguilar, a chiropractor in Asheville who recently severed several fingers.  Ride is Sunday, February 1 and minimum of $10 donation is requested.
